Every summer, the Wimbledon Tennis Championships transform southwest London into a celebration of sport, tradition and British summertime. While thousands of tennis fans make their way to the famous grass courts, Wimbledon Village becomes a destination in its own right, filled with colourful decorations, creative shop window displays and an electric atmosphere.
This year, we visited Wimbledon Village to soak up the excitement of Wimbledon 2026, explore the annual Wimbledon window competition and capture some photos of our Paul Thurlby tennis-themed phone cases in one of the UK's most iconic tennis locations.

Arriving at Wimbledon Village
As soon as we stepped off the train, we could feel the buzz of Championship season. Friendly stewards were on hand directing visitors towards the All England Lawn Tennis Club, making it easy for spectators to find their way.
A brisk walk up the hill brought us into the heart of Wimbledon Village, where the streets were alive with tennis fans, visitors from around the world and beautifully decorated shopfronts celebrating the Wimbledon Championships.

Wimbledon Window Displays Full of Creativity
One of the highlights of visiting Wimbledon Village during the Championships is the annual Wimbledon window display competition. Local businesses embrace the spirit of the tournament by transforming their windows into stunning tennis-inspired works of art.

Everywhere we looked we spotted iconic Wimbledon colours of purple and green, vintage and modern tennis rackets, bright yellow and pink tennis balls, fresh summer flowers, handcrafted artwork and of course, plenty of strawberries - a timeless symbol of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

Each display was unique, showcasing the creativity and community spirit that make Wimbledon Village such a wonderful place to visit during tournament fortnight.

Paul Thurlby Tennis Phone Cases in the Perfect Setting
With such an inspiring backdrop, it was the ideal opportunity to photograph some of our Paul Thurlby tennis-themed phone cases. Featuring playful, retro-inspired tennis illustrations, the designs perfectly complemented the colourful Wimbledon decorations and vibrant village atmosphere.

From floral displays and tennis-inspired artwork to beautifully dressed shop windows, every corner of Wimbledon Village provided the perfect setting for showcasing our tennis phone cases.

Whether you're a tennis fan looking for a stylish accessory or searching for a unique gift inspired by the Wimbledon Championships, our Paul Thurlby collection captures the fun, charm and nostalgia of the sport.

Even the Horses Joined the Celebration
One of our favourite moments was discovering that even the local horses had joined in the Wimbledon celebrations. Decorated with tennis-themed artwork on their coats, they delighted visitors and added another memorable touch to an already festive atmosphere.

It's these unexpected details that make visiting Wimbledon Village during the Championships such a special experience.
