There’s something about autumn that makes a trip to the pumpkin patch absolutely non-negotiable. Crisp mornings, golden leaves, cosy jumpers and, of course, fields filled with pumpkins in every imaginable shape and colour.
So, with our pumpkin-themed phone cases ready for their autumn photoshoot, we headed to Garsons Farm to explore their annual Pumpkin Parade.
And this year, there was an extra bit of magic waiting for us…
The Magic of the Circus 🎪
This year's Pumpkin Parade theme is The Magic of the Circus, bringing a wonderfully playful twist to the traditional pumpkin patch.
We picked up our wheelbarrow and set off down the corn pathway, ready to see what was waiting for us at the other end.
Our first stop was a particularly good one for Halloween lovers – a twinkling “BOO” sign glowing amongst the autumn decorations.
It was almost as if it had been put there especially for us.
Naturally, we couldn't resist using it as the backdrop for our Halloween Ghost phone case. With its spooky artwork and the glowing BOO sign behind it, the two made the perfect Halloween pairing.
And this was only the beginning.
Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch 🎃
Continuing along the pathway, we eventually emerged into a wonderful field filled with pumpkins.
And there were plenty to choose from.
There were pumpkins in traditional shades of orange, alongside green, pale and unusual varieties. Some were perfectly smooth, while others were wonderfully bumpy and knobbly. There were tiny pumpkins, enormous pumpkins and plenty that looked as though they had their own personalities.
It was also the perfect setting for photographing our collection of pumpkin-themed phone cases – some spooky, some playful and some simply celebrating everything we love about autumn.
One of our favourite backdrops was an vintage coffee van which was just asking to be photographed.
It made the perfect setting for our Fall Festival phone case, bringing together two of our favourite autumnal things: pumpkins and coffee.
So Many Photo Opportunities
One of the things we loved about the Pumpkin Parade was just how many little photo opportunities there were along the way.
Straw bales made a wonderfully rustic backdrop, while big armchairs provided the perfect place to stop for a photograph. There was also a cute wooden bridge that looked as though it had been designed specifically for an autumn photoshoot.
Every few steps seemed to reveal another little corner worth exploring.
There were beautiful pumpkin displays too, with rustic wooden crates, autumn leaves and gourds creating picture-perfect little scenes.
And, of course, we had our phone cases with us, so we were constantly looking for the perfect setting to show off each design.
Because when your phone case is covered in pumpkins, autumn is basically one giant photoshoot.
A Little Bit Spooky…
The Pumpkin Parade wouldn't be complete without a few spooky touches.
One of our favourite discoveries was a twinkling jack-o'-lantern display, which made a fantastic backdrop for our Scary Pumpkins phone case.
The glowing pumpkins gave the photographs a little extra Halloween atmosphere, while the case itself added another layer of spooky pumpkin fun.
We also discovered the pumpkin graveyard, complete with plenty of Halloween-inspired details.
It was the perfect reminder that the pumpkin patch isn't just about autumn – there's plenty of Halloween magic hiding amongst the pumpkins too.
Pumpkins Everywhere!
As we explored further, we found pumpkin displays dotted around the patch, each one bringing something different to the experience.
Some were wonderfully traditional, while others were playful and theatrical, fitting perfectly with this year's Magic of the Circus theme.
There was something lovely about seeing the pumpkins arranged in so many different ways – from simple displays to more elaborate Halloween scenes.
And for us, every display presented another opportunity to photograph a favourite phone case.
Spooky or Wholesome? 🎃
One of the things we particularly enjoyed about this year's pumpkin photoshoot was being able to capture both sides of autumn.
Some of our cases were definitely on the spooky side – think ghosts, jack-o'-lanterns and Halloween fun.
Others were much more wholesome, celebrating the cosy, colourful side of autumn with pumpkins, leaves and warm seasonal colours.
And that's what makes autumn such a lovely season for us. You can embrace the Halloween magic, enjoy a pumpkin-filled day out, or simply enjoy the colours and cosiness of the season.
There really is a pumpkin phone case for every kind of autumn lover.
A Perfect Autumn Day
By the time we had finished exploring the Pumpkin Parade, our wheelbarrow had been replaced by a phone full of photographs, and we'd found far more pumpkins – and photo opportunities – than we'd expected.
