Ali Brookes is a British illustrator and surface pattern designer based in the beautiful countryside of Northamptonshire.
Curious by nature and inspired by the world around her, she creates joyful, colourful illustrations that bring a sense of happiness and warmth into everyday life.
A series of layers defines Ali’s process. Ali’s design process often begins with an inky drawing, painting, or cut paper, whether traditionally or digitally, before moving onto Photoshop, where she adds colour, patterns, and hand-painted textures.
After graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Printed Textiles from the University of Derby, Ali has gained extensive experience in the design industry.
Her work spans a wide range of markets, including greeting-cards, stationery, jigsaw puzzles, fabrics, calendars, craft stamps, and apparel.
When she’s not in her studio, you’ll often find her outdoors, camera in hand, soaking up inspiration from her surroundings and looking for new colour palettes and little details from everyday life.
